How did this event come about?
I was traveling to Tanzania to document a couple missionary families for a week. While I was there, I knew that I wanted to do a Help-Portrait. It was my favorite part of the trip.
What was one of the most memorable stories from your event?
Because of limited local print resources, we printed on demand, using a Canon Selphy printer. It was worth it just to see the subjects faces when they received the prints.
What did you take away from the event?
It’s the little things in life that can build new relationships and ultimately change lives.
